カナダ、トロント動物園で、現地日時：2015年10月13日、パンダの赤ちゃんが誕生！
出産した母親は、当初、オスだといわれていたアルシュン（二順、Er Shun）。
赤ちゃんは双子で、体重は、187.7グラムと115グラムとのこと。

Toronto, ON, Tuesday, October 13, 2015: The Toronto Zoo announced a Canadian first today with the birth of two giant panda cubs. Er Shun, the Zoo’s female giant panda, gave birth to her first cub at 3:31 a.m. and the second cub was born at 3:44 a.m.

中国の中央政府から贈られたメスのパンダ「心心」が、2014年に死亡したため、
再び２頭のパンダを2015年4月30日にマカオへ贈ることになったとのこと。
贈られる予定のパンダは、オスが「ヤーリン」〔7歳〕で、メスが「スーロン」〔8歳〕。
このペアのパンダの現地での名前は、これまでどおり、
『開開（カイカイ）』と『心心（シンシン）』を継承するそうです。

2015年2月28日、中国　国家林業局はパンダの調査結果を公表した。
調査結果では、2013年末時点で野生パンダの数は　1864頭。
そのうち四川省には約74%（1387頭）が生息しているとのこと。
